A Leanbox Goddess's Woes
Gamindustri -- home to the four Console Patron Units, or Goddesses.
While the world has seen far better days, it's also seen worse ones; there's something of a heavy rebuild now that the crisis involving the Deity of Sin has long passed, and what passes for normal in this world has soon settled back in. The landmasses' citizens are working as hard as ever, especially over in the highly industrial streets of Lastation, progress is being made on all fronts, and the battle for Shares rages ever onward.
...well, except for a certain quartet of aforementioned Goddesses that are going about their business.
One such Goddess is none other than Vert -- head of the sleek, futuristic adherent to the 'bigger is better' notion that is Leanbox. Whether you find her in her room nose deep into an MMORPG, more than likely Four Goddesses Online, or out in the streets keeping her eyes peeled for the latest games and consoles, she's found herself to be busy for all the wrong reasons. Well, as far as Histoire or maybe her 'sister' in Chika are concerned (oh, the many ways she's seen her try to get her attention...), but all the same, she's found herself going out more than she normally does. It can't be helped, she figured -- three years gone is far too long, and not only does she have a large backlog to finish, she's missed out on all the big trends of those three years.
She can't help but feel like something else was about to happen, though -- perhaps it was one of those dismissible premonitions that some of the odd ducks on the streets were raving about, or if it wasn't them, it was the notion that a flag was raised by her constant heading out...
